• Pack dishes in strong cardboard boxes
• Wrap delicate items such as mirrors and framed art or pictures in cardboard or bubble wrap
• Store small or fragile items in drawers
• Label boxes on all sides so you can identify them easily while arranging
• Place goods that you frequently use close to the door

• Wrap electronics and furniture in plastic or linen s
• Place fragile items at the top of your unit
• Place sofas and mattresses at the back of the unit
• Make a list of all items stored, but keep the list separately with you
• Rent the smallest amount of space and pack it fully
• Leave air space around the perimeter to aid in ventilation
• Place a pallet or board on the floor to guard against dampness



• Leave walkway space to the rear of your storage unit for easy access
• Wrap legs of tables in paper

• Use dresser tops for stacking boxes
• To prevent rust, wipe all metal items with a rag containing few drops of oil
• Store your shovels and garden tools in empty trash cans to save on space
